So as I am writing this chris and I are being transported back to brackley from Eastbourne in an ambulance. As you know we have been trying to do some amazing things thanks to some wonderful people and today was our last trip out. To go back “home” to Eastbourne and spend some time walking along the promenade With the children.
Chris‘ health has been declining fairly rapidly over these last few days. But he still wanted to go back “home“ for the day.
we made the journey down, had fish and chips and we were just making our way up to Holywell for ice cream when chris started having a seizure. I administered the meds to calm the seizure down as I noticed his lips were changing colour. after a few minutes the seizure stopped. Anyway thought it may be best to get him checked before the 2 and half hour journey home. on our way to a and e chris began to have another seizure. The staff at the DGH were amazing and got him in swiftly abd allowed me to stay with him . His oxygen levels are low and he is barely conscious. So he is too unwell to travel home in the car. But the wonderful people at the hospital arranged for an ambulance to take us home where he wants to be. I would like to take this moment to thank everybody who has shown such love and support not only for chris but for us as a family. life is so bloody cruel
Sending lots of love ❤️❤️
Heartbreaking... so, so hard for you all. Such a traumatic time. You are all showing such strength and it's great that Chris had the determination to get "home" and managed to fulfill his wish. Excellent, caring service from the NHS. Safe journey back home. Sending love xx
